Denali Fly Fishing Guides specializes in arctic grayling, the sailfish of the North. These ravenous surface feeders are thrilling to catch on a dry fly whether you are a seasoned fly fisherman or it’s your first time with a fly rod.

We also offer opportunities for Rainbow Trout about an hour and a half away.

Denali Fly Fishing Guides offer personalized and fully outfitted Denali fly fishing excursions in the Alaska range.

Beginner anglers will learn the basics of fly casting, how to match the hatch, landing fish and catch and release techniques.

We offer one 4.5 hour trip, two 6 hour trips and one full day trip departures daily including roundtrip transportation to our base at the Nenana River Landing.

We primarily fish clearwater streams and the Nenana River located 25 miles south of the Denali National Park entrance. Full-day trips allow travel time needed to access some of the area rivers and streams.

We will then travel by van to our area's small streams and wade fish for our native Arctic Grayling, the northernmost member of the Trout family. Our light weight gear is ideal for catch and release fishing with barbless hooks. Some walking over uneven terrain is involved in order to bank or wade fish into moving water.

No fly fishing experience is needed however you must be able to walk up to one mile during the trip. An Alaska fishing license is required and for sale at our headquarters.
